Community Giving Basics of Investments Efforts are focused on the territory C&N Industrial Contractors, Inc. serves. We target our investments towards: -Meeting the needs of society and the community (food, clothing, shelter, employment) -Meeting goals of self-sufficiency, development and stability in the community. -Preventing problems in the community. -Assisting the greatest number of our diverse constituents. C&N Industrial Contractors, Inc. supports agencies that influence the quality of life in communities where our customers and employees work. We generally support only 501 c(3) not-for-profit organizations. Limitations C&N Industrial Contractors, Inc. cannot fund all worthwhile endeavors. It generally does not make contributions to the following: -Individuals-Fraternal, religious, political, labor, athletic, social or veterans groups. -Recreational/sporting events, trips/tours, athletic associations/membership dues or conference registrations. -Equipment purchases -Endowments, debt retirement, foundations and all second-party giving. Application Procedure If your request for support falls within the interest areas targeted by the company, please submit a preliminary letter (one or two pages) rather than a fully developed proposal. Your letter should include a brief statement describing: -The mission of your organization.-A summary of the project, the amount requested, a schedule for implementation, and plans for evaluating and reporting results. -To whom the contribution is targeted, the communities to be served, and how it will benefit that constituency and meet C&N Industrial Contractors, Inc. guidelines. -Other organizations from whom you are leveraging support. Please enclose with your letter: -The IRS statement that validates your organization has a 501 c(3) tax status. -Names and qualifications of individuals responsible for implementing the proposal. -A listing of your Board of Directors. -Budget information for the specific project. -Audited financial statements If this preliminary information meets our criteria geographically and is consistent with our priorities, we may request additional information or a more detailed proposal. Funding Review Process Organizations will be notified promptly in writing of the company's receipt of their proposal. Recipients must agree to the terms of the grant throughout the funding period. A program summary or progress report is required annually or upon completion of the project. You may apply for funding throughout the year, however, proposals are evaluated by Fall for the next calendar year.
